Positioned at the forefront of carbon market development, EcoSecurities has contracted one of the largest portfolio of emission reduction projects in the world.
These projects are widely diversified by geographic location, by technology, and by emission reduction methodology. Carbon credits generated by EcoSecurities' projects have been sold to many carbon market participants, including governments, funds and multinational companies.
EcoSecurities CER portfolio currently comprises of:
- 378 projects within the portfolio (post due diligence)
- in over 30 countries
- using 18 different technologies
- amounting to 101 million carbon credits on a net basis through to 2012
In addition EcoSecurities projects continue to advance through the CDM process with:
- 292 projects submitted to validation
- 158 projects registered which are capable of generating 40 million CERs
- 31 projects are now issuing, with the capability of generating 6 million CERs
