Market pioneers

EcoSecurities was created in early 1997 to provide carbon finance expertise to projects reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Since then EcoSecurities has developed a significant knowledge base, unrivalled expertise and an enviable reputation across the international carbon markets. This accumulated experience gives EcoSecurities significant insight into the dynamic and evolving nature of the international carbon market.

Company structure

EcoSecurities floated on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange on the 13th December 2005, raising 80 million Euros. This allowed EcoSecurities to not only expand its project pipeline and carbon credit portfolio but to increase its presence globally, creating a network of offices and representatives with local knowledge and specific sector expertise.

On the 14th December 2009, following the acquisition of EcoSecurities Group by the Carbon Acquisition Company Limited (a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of J.P.Morgan) the company delisted from AIM. EcoSecurities is now a wholly- owned indirect subsidiary of J.P.Morgan Chase & Co
