The Role


We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to assist in Shared Services tasks for ecosecurities Group. We require someone who can support the business through the implementation and continuous improvement of appropriate structures and processes. More specifically to provide financial support, reports and performance analysis of projects and Business Units.

Key Accountabilities

  • Expert in XERO (mandatory)

  • Prepare monthly IFRS to USGAAP multi-currency group consolidated accounts and ensuring correct reporting by entities

  • Prepare BS Reconciliation and related commentaries.

  • Lead and manage month end accounting and finance sub-processes including accruals, prepayments, depreciations.

  • Responsible for Intercompany transaction posting, reconciliation, and month end forex revaluation.

  • Preparation of relevant tax reports, filing and payment. VAT, PAYE, etc.

  • Responsible for Payroll process

  • Responsible for the company's ERP management, keeping company entries up to date

  • Responsible for intercompany reconciliation, management fees, and consolidation

  • Lead and manage the yearly audit process

  • Assist with the creation of ecosecurities' financial policies and procedures ensuring legal compliance.

  • Governance Management

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team in to drive performance and mitigate risk.


Qualifications


Essential:

  • Degree in B.Com/B.Bus Sci/B.Bus

  • Professional Qualification: CA/CFA/CIMA

  • Expert in Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax, Syft and Excel

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)


Desirable:

  • Ability to speak French and/or Portuguese to an advanced level.

Experience

5-8 years post-qualification experience, preferably including direct and/or indirect experience in carbon credit / environmental services sector.
