Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most established and high-growth voluntary carbon market companies. The Analyst, Business Development APAC will support the development and growth of ecosecurities across the Asia-Pacific through research, analysis, structuring of new projects, and supporting the origination of new projects across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a junior to mid-level role, reporting to the Asia-Pacific Commercial Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the Asia-Pacific business and origination strategy.

• Conduct research and analysis to support all commercial bids, support the structuring of new projects, and help in identifying new business opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region.

• Participate and conduct meetings with prospects/clients and maintain relationships with prospects/clients.

• Conduct pricing analysis, financial profitability, and return on investment from all new business opportunities, including contract reviews.

• Support all work required in the preparation of commercial proposals and commercial bids for clients and partners (under tight timelines).

• Support the development of marketing and commercial presentations to clients and partners.

• Maintain the records of business development activity on the Customer Relationship Management company software.

Candidate Profile

• Highly collaborative approach to working across teams (located across geographies) to achieve the best results.

• Self-starter, able to work independently.

• Interest, enthusiasm, and willingness to work and grow in an entrepreneurial environment with a reputable brand within the global carbon markets.

• Able to work with multicultural and multi-background teams.

• Able to communicate well with internal global teams spread across several countries.

• Carbon market, environmental finance, and/or commodity market experience is preferable.

• Fluency in English and one or more Southeast Asian Languages.

Qualifications

Essential:

• A minimum of a 3 years’ experience in a commercial analyst role or in a related field.

• Degree in business administration, economics, law, engineering or science.

• Proficient in Excel and Power Point.

Desirable:

• Commercial and business development experience.

• Carbon markets and environmental finance.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, finance, and/or consulting.

Skills and Knowledge

• Good English language skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

• Financial / business acumen.

• Effective business communication (written and verbal).
