Energy Efficient Cookstoves in Myanmar
The project involves the installation of energy efficient Improved Cooking Stoves in the households of small communities in Myanmar. Such stoves are used for cooking and water heating purposes and its use reduce the usage of non-renewable biomass i.e. fuel wood for users for cooking and water heating purposes. ICSs that are being disseminated under this project are more efficient in transferring heat from the fuel to the pot than the so-called traditional stoves. Thus, the project will reduce the GHG emissions occurring from the combustion of non-renewable biomass, i.e. fuel wood, thereby also contributing to sustainable development.
